Dawn grew up in Coon Rapids and graduated from Coon Rapids High School. She attended Hamline University, graduating summa cum laude. She studied abroad before attending University of Minnesota Law School, where she graduated cum laude and was a member of the International Moot Court and Child Advocacy Clinic.

Dawn has made Sherburne County her home for over 20 years. She resides with her husband Andy and their dog Murphy. She enjoys reading, singing, and spending time with her family.
Dawn has devoted her career to public service. She asks that you permit her the privilege of continuing that service as Sherburne County Attorney.
